The ruins of the church of St. Sabbas the Sanctified lie in Kheiti village in the north of Shida Kartli. In Georgian the place is called Sabatsminda, after the same saint.
Kheiti lies east of Tskhinvali, in the foothills above the Great Liakhvi valley. Walls and heaps of stone overgrown with grass are what remains of the church.
The village lies beyond the dividing line. A route here is planned in advance, against the access rules in force.
