This church is called the lower one for its position: it stood below the other churches of Tskordza, closer to the valley floor. Today walls and foundations are what remain of the building.
Half a kilometre up the slope stands the Resurrection church, and further along the village two more active churches. Hills and orchards of Samtskhe surround them.
Do not step inside the ruins: the masonry crumbles. View the walls from outside and keep to the path.
