The church of St. George stands by Tsepeli village in Mestia municipality, away from the main Svan road.
Tsepeli lies twelve kilometres from Mestia, among the villages of the upper Enguri. Two kilometres away stands the Labskaldi church of the Archangel, and the same distance leads to the ruins of the church of St. Elijah in Lahili: a rewarding area for an unhurried walk.
There are usually no regular services here, yet the shrine can be approached at any time. The road is unpaved, so a higher car is better; follow the coordinates.
