This is the second Lankhvri shrine, dedicated this time to St. George. It stands by Kartvani village, while the neighbouring Lankhvri church of the Saviour is assigned to Hebudi.
Only two hundred metres separate the two Lankhvri churches. Six hundred metres away stands the church of Michael the Archangel in Kartvani, and seven hundred the church of the Saviour of Hebudi: four shrines within less than a kilometre.
Small Svan churches rarely hold regular services, yet the shrine can be approached at any time. Follow the coordinates.
