The church of the Saviour in Svipi has been restored: for Svan villages that is not a common case, since many old shrines here stand in ruins or without a roof.
Svipi lies sixteen kilometres from Mestia, in the Enguri valley. Eight hundred metres away stands the place of prayer of Jesus Christ in Ghvebaldi, seven hundred the Tviberi church of St. George, and a little further the churches of Lezgara.
The church can be approached at any time; follow the coordinates. In the working church keep quiet and dress modestly.
