A salotsavi is what Georgians call a place of prayer, a small shrine without a church building. This salotsavi is dedicated to Jesus Christ and stands in Ghvebaldi village.
Ghvebaldi lies sixteen kilometres from Mestia, in the Enguri valley. Eight hundred metres away stands the restored church of the Saviour in Svipi, and a kilometre and a half the Tviberi church of St. George.
Such places hold no regular services, yet they can be visited at any time. Follow the coordinates and behave quietly and respectfully.
