Another church of the Khekordzi tract is dedicated to St. Marine. In Georgia she is venerated as a protector of house and family, and village churches in her name are markedly rarer than those of St. George.
The church belongs to Kvemo Nichbisi and its two neighbours to Saskhori: the tract lies on the boundary of the two villages. The church of St. Tevdore stands about seven hundred metres away, the church of the Virgin eight hundred, a church of St. George of the same name five hundred. The village church of Kvemo Nichbisi and the church of St. John the Theologian stand a couple of kilometres off.
The four churches of the tract are told apart by dedication, and on the ground it is easier to follow the coordinates. The usual rules: modest dress, quiet, nothing moved. The field track here stays dry for most of the year, though in summer the grass grows high and closed shoes are better.
