The monastery in Tsopi stands a couple of kilometres from the two church ruins of the same village. Unlike them the building holds whole, and the community counts as a living one.
Tsopi lies in the south of Marneuli Municipality, not far from the Armenian border. The three shrines of the village make up a short route, but the distances between them are long enough that driving beats walking.
A visit is best arranged in advance: there is no set order for receiving guests, and the community lives by its own rule. The usual etiquette applies: covered shoulders and knees, quiet.
