The western church ruins lie south of Poladauri village in Bolnisi Municipality, on the ridge between the Poladauri and Lokistskali rivers. The building is cut into the rock massif, so the approach from the west works as a kind of rock gateway.
The hall is laid of irregularly set smooth stones and the entrance is on the west: outside the door is dressed with an architrave, inside the opening is arched. A semicircular apse is separated by a side wall, two small rectangular niches are made along its edges, and the shape of the window can no longer be read. The rectangular window of the south wall is filled with rubble.
The church was covered with flat tile, fragments of which are still scattered around the perimeter. The walls survive to a height of two metres. In the space cut into the rock west of the church, traces of dry laid stone storerooms are visible, and similar ones stood to the south.
