The church on the edge of Kolagiri is described in different ways: some speak of a working village church, others of the ruins of Tsurtavi. The difference is substantial, and only someone who walks up and looks can settle it.
The place stands at the very centre of a dense cluster: less than two hundred metres to the small church of Tsurtavi, three hundred to the Nakhiduri church, about four hundred to the community. Perhaps it is this closeness that made the descriptions diverge: neighbouring buildings are easily mixed up.
There are no regular services and people come freely. If the building turns out to be ruined, going inside is not a good idea.
