The church of St George stands in Kokhta, a village of Tsalka Municipality. It is the third village shrine: the church of St Nicholas and the Transfiguration church stand here as well.
The village lies west of Tsalka, beyond the town limits, on an open plateau. Distances here are deceptive: the town is not far as the crow flies, yet the road winds along the slopes and the drive takes longer than the map suggests.
There are no regular services here and the church can be approached at any time. The place is open and windy, and in the cold months it is worth dressing warmer than in Tsalka itself.
