The ruins of a monastic complex lie on the right slope of the Algeti river gorge, at the foot of a rocky plateau, near Manglisi. The ground here is a natural terrace, slightly levelled by hand, and the buildings were set on it.
A damaged hall church survives along with traces of several structures whose purpose is unknown. One more small church was built beyond the enclosure, some two hundred metres to the north.
The complex has no name and it is known simply as an unknown monastic complex of the Algeti gorge. Taking the signs together, specialists consider it a medieval monastery, but nothing more precise can be said without excavation.
