The Kvelatsminda shrine stands in the southwestern part of Kvemo Khodasheni village in Telavi Municipality. The holy place has a local name, Tsrubeli; salotsavi is the Georgian word for a place of prayer.
Kvemo Khodasheni lies at the foot of the Tsiv-Gombori range. The Forty Martyrs church is a couple of hundred steps away, and the Trinity basilica is a little further.
The shrine can be approached at any time. Candles and modest offerings are left here; gifts of others are not touched, and the place is treated with care.
