The Trinity basilica stands in Kvemo Khodasheni village of Telavi Municipality. The church belongs to the three-church basilicas - a Georgian building type where three parallel halls sit under one roof.
Kvemo Khodasheni lies at the foot of the Tsiv-Gombori range. The Forty Martyrs church and the Tsrubeli shrine stand nearby, and further south, in the foothills, is the Karatis Jvari Trinity church - a different building.
Regular services may not be held, and the basilica can be approached at any time. Modest clothing is appropriate, and the old walls deserve careful treatment.
