A parish church of Saint George, one of two buildings in a single church yard. The church of the Mother of God stands literally a few dozen metres away, and on the ground this is almost certainly one yard with two churches.
Tsutskhvati is known not for its churches but for its karst: a multi-level cave complex, among the best studied in western Georgia, lies around the village. Limestone shapes everything here, from the terrain to the building material that has gone into village structures for centuries. Besides the pair in the yard the area holds two more holy places, including the family shrine of the Nagarevi locality. The century of building is not established.
The parish is rural and services are infrequent. Dress modestly, women wear a headscarf. Both churches of the yard can be seen in a few minutes.
