Another case where a village and a church share one name: Sameba, the Trinity. As in Amaghleba, the order here is the reverse of the usual: first the church, then the settlement that took its name.
For Guria, where such coincidences occur twice within one survey, this is a noticeable local trait. Sameba is a dedication borne in Georgia both by the main cathedral in Tbilisi and by village churches like this one. The village lies in the north-eastern part of the region, on a road through the hills.
One detail rare for village churches deserves a separate mention: the parking by the church is adapted for visitors with reduced mobility. Among a hundred and fifty religious sites in this survey that occurs only twice. Dress soberly, women bring a headscarf.
