Fascinating cable car routes of the capital of Georgia: unusual prospects
Cable lifts in Tbilisi are not only a vehicle, but also a real attraction of the Georgian capital. This type of movement is very popular and is one of the favorite entertainments of both tourists and locals. Interestingly, the Tbilisi City Hall has big plans for the development of this infrastructure and is already working on the restoration of one of the cable cars.
In total, 3 highways are currently operating in the capital of Georgia. The first of them connects Rike Park with Narikala Fortress, offering amazing panoramic views of the city. The second track leads from Vake Park to Turtle Lake, allowing not only to enjoy the smooth movement over the city, but also to plunge into the unique nature. The third highway, which connects the high-rise building of Tbilisi State University with the campus in the Bagebi district, provides comfortable movement for students and teachers.
It is interesting to note that the Mayor of Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze, is an active supporter of the development of cable cars in the city. According to him, the geographical location of Tbilisi creates tremendous opportunities for the further development of this type of public transport. Currently, the Mayor's Office is working on the restoration of a cable car that will connect Rustaveli Avenue with Mtatsminda Park. This will allow tourists and citizens to immerse themselves even more in the exciting atmosphere of Tbilisi and enjoy its beauty from a bird's-eye view.
