Tourist impressions: Germany reveals Georgia's potential
Rethinking Georgia has become the main topic for the leading tour operators in Germany, and they eagerly started working on creating unique travel packages for their customers. More than three hundred representatives of German travel companies and the media took part in a series of presentations where they witnessed the rich tourism potential of Georgia.
The National Tourism Administration of Georgia held events in five German cities: Berlin, Hamburg, Dusseldorf, Munich and Frankfurt. Together with well-known travel companies and media such as TUI, DVR and Berliner Zeitung, iconic newspapers such as Der Tagesspiegel and Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, and others, German tourists for the first time got to know the diversity of Georgia so closely right in their homeland.
The creative marketing campaign is organized by the Administration together with a large German marketing agency and PR - KPRN Network GmbH. As for the German travel companies, they demonstrate a fervent interest in offering their clients travel packages to Georgia.
As a result, the number of visits of international guests to Georgia in the first half of 2023 increased by 75.9%, and the total number of tourist visits increased by 59.6% compared to last year. At the same time, the income of the Georgian economy from visits by citizens of the European Union increased by 78.6%. This staggering increase in visits and income could not have gone unnoticed by international tour operators. Now they see Georgia from a new, more attractive side.
