July 2023 pleased the airports of Tbilisi and Batumi with high passenger traffic, serving more than half a million travelers. This is an important step towards restoring air links and confirming the growing popularity of Georgia among tourists and business travelers.

Tbilisi International Airport, as the main air gate of the country, was in the spotlight. In July 2023, it served an impressive number – 403,474 passengers. This impressive result exceeds the figure of last year by 14%, and even that record July 2019, when tourism in Georgia reached its peak, by 5%.

Batumi International Airport also made an important contribution to the overall success. 99,803 passengers used its services in July. This result is 3% higher than last year and 1% lower than the number of passengers in July 2019, which is an indicator of the resilience and gradual recovery of air traffic.

It should be noted that as of July 1, 2023, flights to 88 destinations provided by 48 airlines were operating in Georgia. This is a clear evidence of the variety of air routes and opportunities for travelers who choose Georgia for their adventures and business trips.

Such an impressive increase in passenger traffic at the airports of Tbilisi and Batumi in July 2023 is a vivid indicator of the recovery of the Georgian tourism industry after difficult times. It also highlights the important role of the country as a popular travel destination, attracting the attention of many seekers of impressions and new discoveries.
