Development of Abastumani resort: renewal and ecological compatibility

The Abastumani resort in the Samtskhe-Javakheti region is under active reconstruction. Many construction works have already been completed, and the resort will be completely renovated in accordance with modern standards and high environmental requirements in two years. Finishing works will begin in the near future, and the main infrastructure and hotels will be ready by the end of next year. It is planned that the resort will be fully ready to receive tourists by the 2025 season.

It attracts people suffering from various forms of tuberculosis, bronchitis and bronchial asthma. Located in a mountainous area, at an altitude of 1200 to 1500 meters above sea level, Abastumani has a unique air saturated with particles of ancient trees, which gives it healing properties for the respiratory system.
