Direct flight will connect Tbilisi and Berlin: A new stage of air links

Very soon, residents of Georgia and Germany will have a unique opportunity to enjoy direct flights between Tbilisi and Berlin. The German budget airline Eurowings announced the long-awaited news about the launch of regular flights.

Flights on the Berlin-Tbilisi-Berlin route will be operated weekly, exclusively on Mondays. The first flight is scheduled for December 18, 2023. However, it should be noted that from January 22, 2024, the company will suspend flights for several weeks, resuming them only from February 26, 2024.

For those who can't wait for this opportunity, tickets are already available on the airline's official website. The one-way fare starts from 130 euros. However, it is important to note that there is no official confirmation of regular flights yet.

It should also be noted that the Georgian Airports Union has been actively cooperating with Eurowings since 2017, striving to open direct flights to this beautiful country. Eurowings has already made its debut on the Georgian aviation market in July 2021, providing direct flights between Dusseldorf and Tbilisi twice a week. This event gave a new impetus to the development of air links between Georgia and Germany and opens up many opportunities for travelers to explore both cultures and the unique natural beauties of these countries.
