The rules for visiting the country by air will be changed.
Due to the frequent cases of detection of false certificates and passports at the Kutaisi airport, the Georgian authorities intend to return mandatory PCR testing for visitors arriving in the country.
To date, citizens who have completed a full course of vaccination are only required to provide a document confirming medical manipulations.
According to the head of the Ministry of Health, this forced measure is necessary to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection and the safety of the local population and tourists.
