The priority task for the restoration of the tourism sector has been determined.

Prime Minister Garibashvili announced the main guidelines for the speedy recovery of the country's tourism sector, which has suffered greatly during the raging pandemic.

The figures of the previous pre-quarantine years totaled more than nine million foreign visitors and incomes of over three billion dollars. Isolation and quarantine restrictions have significantly reduced the level of the country's economy.

The authorities see a way out of this situation in increasing the tourist flow. It is planned to increase the number of foreign travelers to 13 million.

For these purposes, it is planned to increase the recognition of Georgian resorts on the world market, improve the quality of tourist services and open new tourist centers throughout the state.

In case of successful implementation of the planned mission, it is expected that the tourist flow will return by 70 percent from the indicator of 2019.

    Да, пандемия коронавируса сильно подкосила экономику и Грузии, и, увы, многих других стран. К сожалению, то, что ломается легко и быстро, восстанавливать приходится долго и мучительно.
