Martvili Canyon in the off-season
In the east of Georgia, in the Megrelian region, in the area of Dead or nature has created an amazing canyon. The picturesque Martville Canyon has been carved into the rocks by the Abasha River for thousands of years.
Overhanging rocks, subtropical plants and waterfalls are a complete set of impressions for tourists. Not far from the Martville Canyon, the famous Kincha Waterfall and the impressive Okatse Canyon with a narrow bridge are not for the faint of heart.
800-year-old trees grow in a boxwood grove nearby, and traces of primitive tribes were found in a two-story Djortsu cave. Nearby is a monument of church architecture — the Chkondidi Monastery, founded in the 7th century.
such a place cannot be unpopular with tourists. In order to take a photo of a canyon, cave and waterfall without strangers in the frame, you need to come here in the off-season.
