Georgian airline Geo Sky expands the geography of flights: new flights to three post-Soviet countries and Iran
An important event in the world of the aviation industry was the news about the expansion of the geography of flights of the Georgian airline Geo Sky, also known as Georgian Wings. The airline's CEO, Shalva Kiknadze, announced plans to add new flights to Moldova, Iran, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
This strategic step is accompanied by the expansion of the company's fleet, which will be replenished with two new Boeing 737 aircraft. One of them is already parked at the Tbilisi airport, the second one is planned to be delivered in January 2024. The new aircraft are designed for 148 economy class seats and will be operated under the airline's corporate brand.
Geo Sky, founded in 2017, successfully operates in the local and international markets, providing passenger and cargo air transportation. The CEO expressed confidence that by the end of January 2024, the new destinations will be fully operational, providing more comfortable opportunities for Georgian citizens to travel around the world.
In addition, Shalva Kiknadze stressed that 2023 was particularly significant for the company, outlining bold changes in strategy. In the context of a global reduction in freight traffic, Geo Sky has successfully adapted its activities, providing commercial flights to Tbilisi-Batumi for the first time.
These innovations underline Geo Sky's ambitious plans to develop the aviation sector and provide customers with a wider choice in passenger transportation.
