Adjara: Tourist boom and new attractions
The tourist season in Adjara this year brings incredible success to the region. The head of the regional government, Tornike Rizhvadze, shared important data: the number of tourists increased by 56% compared to 2022 and by 24% compared to 2019.
Batumi, Kobuleti and mountainous Adjara - these coastal pearls are very popular among tourists. Rizhvadze stressed that everything is going according to plan and in accordance with the tasks set for the region.
Interestingly, 45 new tourist sites have been added to mountainous Adjara, which makes the region even more attractive.
Batumi Airport also notes an increase in the number of international flights, which increased by 9.7% in the first seven months of this year.
The summer tourist season in Adjara officially started on June 4, and the authorities of the region expect more than four million visitors. But this is not the only joy for tourists.
Adjara is ready to delight visitors with new attractions, such as a zipline in the Batumi Botanical Garden, canyons in Kapnistavi and Uchkho, mountain trails for cyclists and tourist camps in various parts of the region. In addition, 25 marked tourist routes have been created.
Adjara is becoming not only a wonderful place to relax, but also a real paradise for lovers of outdoor activities and adventures.
