One hundred and forty-fifth theater season Rustaveli Theater opens with the parable of Prometheus
The famous Tbilisi Drama Theater named after Shota Rustaveli starts the next season on September 29 with the premiere of the production of the artistic director of the theater Robert Sturua - "Chained Prometheus". The director spent 1.5 years to create a magnificent work of art based on the myth of Prometheus, the hero of Greek mythology. The play "Chained Prometheus" was staged for the first time on the stage of the Rustaveli Theater. This is an exquisite monodramatic performance that shows the story of love, betrayal and friendship in one act. Starting in September, the audience will be able to enjoy the first part of the performance, and they will see the second part in November.
Robert Sturua, who has devoted 60 years of his life to the Rustaveli Theater, is sure that the myth of Prometheus will always be relevant, regardless of time and epoch. Sturua demonstrates what a fairy tale about a hero means in today's life.
Talented actors participate in the performance, filling it with grace and energy. Manana Abramishvili, Anna Amilakhvari, Nino Arsenishvili, Goga Barbakadze, Kakha Kupatadze and other famous Georgian actors demonstrate their acting talents on the stage of the Rustaveli Theater. This stellar team brings an additional contribution to creating an atmosphere that reveals the meaning of the performance.
