Rezo Gabriadze Puppet Theater
The Puppet Theater was built in Tbilisi in 1981. Rezo Gabriadze is a famous Georgian sculptor, director and playwright.
There are age restrictions on visiting the theater, performances are intended for children from 12 years old. Although the theater is a puppet theater, the performances here have a deep meaning and allegories.
Next to the theater there is a cafe where, in addition to all kinds of goodies, you can taste a dessert of grape juice – pelamushi.
There is also a clock tower with a pomegranate growing on the roof.
The tower was decorated by Rezo Gabriadze himself. Every 60 minutes an angel appears from the clock with a hammer and strikes the bell. At 12.00 and 19.00 there is a mini performance right in the tower. It is interesting for children of all ages.
