Georgian polyphonic singing is a unique combination of harmonic techniques.
This is a special vocal technique that uses notes located close to each other. In 2001, Unesco recognized Georgian polyphonic singing as part of the world's intangible culture, and declared it a world heritage and heritage.
The style of Georgian polyphony has not changed for centuries. Even the Greek historian Strabo in the I century BC described the polyphonic singing of soldiers who were rushing to battle.
The songs are mostly performed in three voices, and exclusively by men, so it happened historically.
Polyphony is an integral element of the Georgian supra (feast).
