The history of the successful introduction of Georgian wines to the Scandinavian market continues to delight lovers of this noble drink. The recent successes of the Chelti company confirm that the road to the international arena of gastronomic delights has become even more confident and bright.

The story of this success began thanks to the heroic efforts of the commercial director of the winery, Ana Mirianashvili, who shared fascinating details of this victorious saga. The main emphasis was placed on the fact that the step into the Scandinavian market was, at least, a challenge. After all, the state monopoly on alcohol in Sweden created considerable difficulties for the penetration of Georgian wines.

State regulation, research and tenders – all this process has to go through in order for the wines to officially appear on the shelves of Scandinavian shops and restaurants. And in this tough struggle, Chelti was able to overcome many competitors thanks to the outstanding quality of its product.

The decisive victory was the so-called "blind tasting" in Sweden, where the wine brand "Khikhvi" struck the jury with its unique niche palette of flavors. The charm of authentic Georgian wines is beginning to win foreign hearts, and interest in them is growing every day.

According to Ana Mirianashvili, the first delivery to Sweden will amount to 3,600 bottles of wine, but this volume will only be the beginning. The impressive export growth of the company confirms that interest in Georgian wines is also growing in other countries – in 2022, more than 400,000 bottles went abroad.

The attention to "Chelti" wines on the world stage continues to grow, and this is not accidental. High-quality wines have already taken a place in the menu of rated restaurants and have become part of the wine collections of prestigious boutiques. The desire for premium experience and a unique collection of wines, such as "Chelti Heritage", reflects a deep respect for the traditions of winemaking and the eternal art of giving wine a unique character.

But the company's success is just the beginning. Plans for the future include the expansion of vineyards and an increase in the assortment. It will be seen how new grape varieties will diversify the range of flavors and add the properties of the "Chelti" collection.

As for the history of the company, it began its journey in the distant 1900s, when the ancestors of the Mirianashvili family built the first wine cellars. Today "Chelti" continues not only to keep traditions, but also to add modern wine education to them, making Georgia proud on the world stage of winemaking.
