The Imam Hussein mosque is the second in Marneuli. Hussein, grandson of the Prophet, is held in special regard by Shia Muslims, and mosques of his name stand in many towns with Azerbaijani communities.
It is about half a kilometre from here to the Imam Ali mosque, so the two town mosques stand close together. Marneuli is a mixed town, and the Orthodox church of David the Builder is not far away either.
The usual mosque etiquette applies: shoes are taken off at the entrance, clothing is modest, women cover their heads, and the hall is not entered during prayer. Prayer times are best checked on the spot.
