Hoby expected 80% sales growth in 2026 and planned to double honey output

BMG reported on 28 September 2026 that Georgian honey producer Hoby expected sales to grow by about 80% in 2026, an estimate given by the company’s founder. He links the growth to wider retail presence: the products were added to the Gvirila chain this year and to Ori Nabiji about a month earlier.

This year the company planned to bring production to 100 to 120 tonnes of honey, roughly twice its previous volume. If demand keeps its pace, it planned to double capacity next year to about 200 tonnes. Its own apiaries supply about 20% of the volume, and the rest is bought from partner beekeepers.
