Farmers Association warns of higher autumn sowing costs due to diesel
In an interview with the Sakme programme on PalitraNews and Radio Palitra, the deputy head of the Farmers Association said more expensive diesel is putting pressure on autumn field work costs, especially in the mechanised grain sector. BPN published the interview on 26 October 2026.
He estimated Georgia's wheat self-sufficiency at about 20%. According to him, if fuel stays expensive, costs may rise before harvest.
