🏛️ History of the Dmanisi Sioni Church: A Relic of Antiquity and Important Cultural Heritage

The church in Dmanisi is one of five Sioni churches in Georgia, built in the 6th-7th centuries in honor of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The church is located on the site of the ancient settlement of Dmanisi, near the village of Patara-Dmanisi in Kvemo Kartli.
