Shota Rustaveli Avenue is the central artery of the Georgian capital and one of its main attractions. It is named after the medieval Georgian poet Shota Rustaveli.
The total length of the avenue stretching from Freedom Square to Rustaveli Square is about 1.5 km. Plane trees are planted on both sides of the avenue. The Park is adjacent to the avenue on April 9.
Shota Rustaveli Avenue is often called Tbilisi Nevsky or Tbilisi Tverskaya, referring to the number of state, public and cultural objects located on it.
A large number of government, public, cultural and commercial buildings are located on the avenue.
