Opposite the house (corner with Chonkadze Street), where P. Tchaikovsky lived when he visited his brother Anatoly, a lawyer, prosecutor of the Tiflis District Court, is the so-called "bank house". This cooperative house for employees of the National Bank was built in 1927 by architect G.Ter-Mikelov.

The Art Nouveau house N11, which is the decoration of Kikojo Street, was also erected by this architect. He built it for the brothers Arkady and Arshak Milov (Mailov). The brothers were engaged in manufacturing trade, had several shops and two trading houses. Because of the beautiful stone balcony and front garden, the house is still called an "Italian villa".

The monogram of the owners in the form of the letters "AM" has been preserved on the facade. In the Soviet years, it was the home of the Soviet elite. The outstanding Georgian conductor Yevgeny Mikeladze, married to the daughter of the revolutionary and party leader Mamiya Orakhelashvili, lived there.

Her parents were repressed and shot in 1937, and she herself, after spending 15 years in the camps, became the prototype of the heroine of T. Abuladze's film "Repentance". From 1922 until his death in 1937, the national poet of Georgia

and Armenia Hakob Hakobyan lived in this house.

“Итальянская вилла” одно из немногих мест, которое вызывает у меня неразрешимое противоречие. С одной стороны, на такую красоту и роскошь нужно обязательно взглянуть, если предоставляется возможность и увидеть своими глазами то, вокруг чего столько пересудов. А с другой стороны, я столько мрачного читал об этом доме, что как-то сомневаюсь, хочу ли я прикасаться к этой части грузинской истории.
