The bridge is a pedestrian and traffic structure spanning the Kura River in Tbilisi, Georgia's capital. Built in 1966, it replaced the old Mukhrani Bridge, which was named after Princess Mukhrani. Often called the Bridge of Love, it honors the Georgian romantic poet Nikoloz Baratashvili.

The bridge features railings adorned with bronze sculptures of loving couples. It runs parallel to the scenic Bridge of Peace and connects to Tbilisi Airport via a newly renovated highway, completed by Khidmsheni construction company. This bridge links the city center to historical neighborhoods and is close to notable sites like the Gabriadze Puppet Theater and the modern Bridge of Peace. Below, there's an underground passage famous for its colorful graffiti art.

I was happy to see it during my trip to Tbilisi and Batumi in 2024.

It's a pleasant bridge to walk across. While it isn't anything extraordinary, the decorations add a nice touch. Occasionally, you can spot boats cruising on the river, which makes for a lively atmosphere and great ideas for tours.

As a bonus, there's a homeless man in the tunnels beneath the bridge—definitely worth a visit to see him.
