How to Verify You Are an Official Company Representative
To update information in a company listing or respond to a review on its behalf, you need to confirm that you are an official representative. There are three ways to do this: by emailing from the company's official email, by SMS from the company's official phone, or by messaging from the company's official Facebook page.
Why We Require Verification
The Madloba.info directory contains more than 100,000 companies. If we made changes based on any request — the directory would quickly become a place where bad actors could edit other people's listings, delete competitors' reviews, and falsify contact information.
Verification of representation protects:
- The company itself — from having its listing managed by an outsider
- Directory users — from false information
- Competition — from manipulation by bad-faith actors
Three Ways to Verify
Method 1: The Company's Official Email
The simplest and preferred option.
Email [email protected] from the address listed:
- On the company's official website
- On the company's Facebook page
- In the Georgian Public Registry
- On Google Maps as the company's contact
We compare the sender's address with the publicly listed email. If it matches — representation is considered verified.
Method 2: SMS from the Company's Official Phone
If your company doesn't have a separate business email, you can send an SMS from the phone number listed as the official contact in open sources.
We will provide the SMS number in our reply to your first email.
Method 3: A Message from the Company's Facebook Page
If your company only has a Facebook page (no website and no separate email) — message us from that page as a manager. We will verify that the page is genuinely official (by number of followers, posting history, link from Google Maps, etc.).
What Does NOT Count as Verification
❌ A personal WhatsApp message from any number
❌ An email from a personal address (e.g., a Gmail not connected to the company)
❌ A message from an Instagram account not publicly linked to the company
❌ A phone call (we don't operate by phone — see separate article)
❌ The words "I am a company representative" without confirmation
If the Company Has No Website, No Email, and No Facebook
This is rare but possible (especially for small businesses in regions). In such cases, we request additional verification:
- A photo of the storefront with the owner
- A company registration document (extract from the Public Registry)
- Verification through Google Maps (if you are the verified owner of the Google Maps location)
Email [email protected], and we will offer a specific option for your situation.
What Becomes Available After Verification
After verification, you can:
- ✅ Update information in the listing (address, phone, description, etc.)
- ✅ Respond to any review in the listing free of charge
- ✅ Submit your own description to replace the current one
- ✅ Submit a logo and photos for addition (for premium clients — a photo session)
- ✅ Request documentary refutation of a review (where applicable)
