The church of St. Nino stands in Urbnisi village of Kareli Municipality. It is not the famous Urbnisi Sioni that stands in the same village: this is a separate church with a different dedication.
Urbnisi lies east of Kareli, on the plain by the Mtkvari valley. The village has long been known in the church history of Kartli, and a convent is active next door in Ruisi.
Visiting is free, and modest clothing is appropriate for a service. If the church is closed, locals will tell you when services are held.
