The church of the Mother of God stands in Sakavre village in the south of Kaspi Municipality. It is another shrine of the village after the church of St. George, and the two stand close together.

The area lies far from the district centre, in the hills above the southern valleys. A prayer niche stands half a kilometre away, and the St. George church at Saorbisi is four kilometres to the east.

Regular services may not be held, and the church can be approached at any time. Modest clothing is appropriate, and candles and offerings are left in their places.
