The shrine of St. George stands away from Sakavre village, in the south of Kaspi Municipality. Such niches are set by the road: a candle is left inside, sometimes an icon.
Sakavre itself has a church of St. George, and another church of the same dedication stands east at Saorbisi. The area lies in the hills above the southern valleys, far from the district centre.
The shrine can be approached at any time, and the roads are unpaved. Gifts of others are not touched, and the place deserves careful treatment.
