The site of an old church lies at Patara Khavleti in the west of Shida Kartli. Patara in Georgian means small: that is how this part of the area is told apart from neighbouring Didi Khavleti, the big one.
Naeklesiari means a place where a church once stood: the building is gone, yet the spot is still revered. A chapel of St. George stands eight hundred steps away, and Didi Keleti with its churches begins to the south.
Access is free at any time, and the path runs across the grass. Candles are left here, and the stones and masonry deserve careful treatment.
