The church of St George stands by Kldistskaro village of Khashuri Municipality. The place is also called Kldeshi nakveti saidari, that is a prayer room cut into the rock: klde is Georgian for rock.
The site lies in the hills northeast of Khashuri, above a ravine. Two kilometres lower, closer to the village, stands the Nikorta monastery.
You can come at any time, and modest dress is appropriate for services. Quiet is expected inside, and the old masonry is treated with care.
