The church of the Mother of God stands in Khandaki village of Kaspi Municipality. It is another shrine of the village: the church of the Archangel rises half a kilometre to the south.
The village also appears as Kvemo Khandaki and should not be confused with Zemo Khandaki south of Kaspi. The area lies east of the town, by the road towards Mtskheta, and Zemo Nichbisi with its church begins three kilometres away.
Regular services may not be held, and the church can be approached at any time. Modest clothing is appropriate, and candles and offerings are left in their places.
