The old Georgian church in Burnasheti village in Akhalkalaki Municipality is listed in the national category and sources date it to the 10th century. The building is divided into two parts with west and south porches adjoining it, laid of stone of varied colour under a roof of stone slabs.
There are two entrances, on the south and west. The south door is dressed outside with an architrave and tympanum and is arched within, while the west door is arched on both sides. One arched window each on the east, west and south gives the light.
A semicircular apse ends in a conch resting on an arch above broad shoulders. The hall is divided in half by a pair of two tier pilasters, an arch thrown across them carries the vault, and decorative arches run from the lower tier between the shoulders and the pilasters. A parapet rings the church on the west and south, and the south gallery is built of more carefully worked stone.
