The church of St. George stands in Sorgiti. The dedication is the commonest in Racha, and namesakes stand in the neighbouring hamlets of the valley, so such churches are told apart by the name of the village.
Sorgiti lies four kilometres from Oni, in the Rioni valley. Neighbours are many around: the ruins of the church of Pipileti about a kilometre away, the Trinity church with no village given two, the church of St. George at Zhashkva two and a half. The valley here is wide and open, and the road along the river is passable in any weather.
The church is a village one, services are not held every day, and it is easier to get inside when someone is about. Dress modestly, a headscarf for women, quiet inside. The neighbouring churches are easy to confuse by dedication, so follow the coordinates. Downstream, four kilometres away, stands Oni.
