The Saint George niche is set in Tetritskaro Municipality by the road between villages. Candles are placed inside, and coins and small offerings are usually left beside it.
The modern church of Saint Gabriel stands about seven hundred metres away. Tetritskaro Municipality occupies the hilly wooded part of Kvemo Kartli between Marneuli and the Trialeti range. The name translates as white spring, after the district centre.
Modest clothing and quiet behaviour are expected. The site remains part of the everyday life of the area, and that deserves respect.
