The sakdari bears the name of St George. Sakdari in these parts means a village church, and the word is met in names more often than in speech.
It stands in Tandzia, sixty metres from the Mother of God church. This is the closest pair of shrines in the whole district: the two buildings stand almost side by side, yet their dedications differ, which is why they count separately. Another church of the cluster, the church of St Nicholas in Dzedzvnariani, lies four hundred metres off.
There are no regular services here and people come freely. Both Tandzia shrines are seen in five minutes, and the third is another quarter of an hour on foot.
