The old church in Itsria stands with no known dedication: whom it was raised for has not come down to us. That is no rarity for the village churches of Kvemo Kartli, especially where the parish was broken off for a long time.
The village lies north-west of Bolnisi, in the hilly part of the municipality. This is not its only shrine: a second Itsria church stands some way off, and together they outline the old part of the village.
There are no regular services here and the church can be seen from the outside at any time. People rarely go in, and the props by the walls are better left alone.
