The church of St George stands in the eastern part of Tamarisi. The building is a plain village one, and it is another church of the village.
The first, the church dedicated to Queen Tamar, lies a little over a kilometre away to the west. Both village shrines are on flat ground, the roads between them are short, and they can be walked in half an hour. Two kilometres farther, in Kvemo Arkevani, stands the village church of the neighbours.
There are no regular services and people come freely. The usual etiquette applies: covered shoulders and knees, no noise inside.
